Bathroom Vanities - Single Sink - Bathroom Vanity size 60 - 69 IN - Birch Wood

A 60 to 69 inch single sink vanity is a deliberate choice, not a compromise. At this width you could fit two basins — choosing one instead buys you an uninterrupted run of counter, a deeper bank of drawers and a bathroom that feels calmer to use. These 50 vanities are built from birch, never MDF or particleboard, with soft-close storage and a natural stone top.

One sink, maximum counter

Most 60 inch vanities are sold as doubles, which is why a 60 inch single is the quiet upgrade many homeowners wish they had chosen. A single basin at this width gives you a genuinely large landing area to one or both sides of the sink — room for everything that normally clutters a bathroom counter — plus full-height cabinet and drawer storage that is not interrupted by a second set of plumbing.

It is the right call when the bathroom is used by one person, when it is a guest or family bath rather than a shared primary, or when you simply want the counter more than you want the second sink. It also costs less to plumb: one drain, one set of supply lines, and usually no change to your existing rough-in.

If two people really do share the room every morning, compare the double-sink vanities at the same width before deciding.

Getting the fit right

Measure the wall opening and subtract clearance at both ends for trim, baseboard or a return wall, then check the bathroom door swing and any shower door that opens toward the vanity. Standard depth is 22 inches. These cabinets ship fully assembled rather than flat-packed, so confirm hallways, turns and door frames can take a piece this wide. Because you are keeping a single basin, your existing plumbing rough-in will usually work as is — just confirm the basin position of the design you choose.

Birch construction

Willow builds these cabinets from birch, a dense, tight-grained hardwood, with solid birch frames and doors and FSC-certified sourcing — never MDF or particleboard — sealed with a durable low-VOC finish.

At five feet wide, a vanity carries a long, heavy stone top, and the cabinet underneath decides whether that stays flat. Most mass-market vanities use MDF or particleboard beneath the finish; in daily bathroom humidity it swells at the toe kick, softens around the drain cutout and sags across a long span. Birch holds its line, grips hardware securely along a wide run of drawers, and can be sanded and refinished years later rather than replaced.

Countertops and finishes

Quartz and natural Carrara marble are the widely available tops in this collection, and select designs also offer quartzite or terrazzo — depending on the design, so check the individual product page. Each top includes a matching backsplash and your choice of a Mitered or Cove edge. The stone ships in its own protective box and the undermount basin is set during installation. A long single-basin top is also the best canvas for a dramatic stone, since the veining runs uninterrupted across the whole surface.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 60 inch single sink vanity a good idea?

It is an excellent choice when the bathroom is not shared at the same time each morning. A single basin at 60 inches gives you a large uninterrupted counter, deeper storage undisturbed by a second set of plumbing, and simpler, cheaper installation than a double.

60 inch single or 60 inch double — which should I choose?

Choose the double only if two people genuinely use the bathroom simultaneously. Otherwise the single is usually the more practical room: one basin at this width leaves far more usable counter space, and it works with an existing single plumbing rough-in.

Are these vanities made of real wood?

Yes. They are built from birch with solid birch frames and doors and FSC-certified sourcing — never MDF or particleboard. That matters at this width because the cabinet supports a long, heavy stone top, and pressed board sags over a wide span and swells where moisture reaches a cut edge.

Will a 60 inch vanity work with my existing plumbing?

Usually yes, if you are replacing another single-sink vanity — you keep one drain and one set of supply lines. Confirm the basin position of the design you choose against your rough-in, measure the wall opening, and allow clearance at both ends.

What countertops can I choose?

Quartz and natural Carrara marble are the widely available options, and select designs also offer quartzite or terrazzo depending on the design. Each includes a matching backsplash and your choice of a Mitered or Cove edge. Check the individual product page for that vanity's options.
