A sidesplash is the short upright piece that runs along the side of your vanity countertop where it meets a wall. It helps protect that wall from everyday splashes and gives the joint a finished appearance. Choose it by countertop material, dimensions and the number of side walls beside your vanity.
One sidesplash covers one side. If you choose this finish, count the side walls beside your vanity, not the number of sinks. Plan the wall finish and countertop-to-wall joint with your installer.
Sidesplash vs. backsplash: which piece goes where?
The backsplash runs along the rear of the countertop, behind the sink and faucet. A sidesplash runs from back to front along a left or right side wall. They serve different positions and are separate pieces.
A countertop that includes a rear backsplash does not automatically include a sidesplash. Check the included components for your selected vanity and treat a sidesplash as an optional accessory unless your order specifically lists it.
Choose Single or Double by the number of side walls
If you decide to use stone sidesplashes, select the quantity for the sides you want to cover. A tiled side wall or another suitable wall finish may not need a separate stone piece.

Willow's sidesplash pricing is $45 for Single and $90 for Double. Double contains two pieces of the same material and profile. If you are ordering two vanities with Double for each, you need four physical sidesplash pieces. Confirm quantities and the current price on your quote or order before paying.
Match the exact countertop material and profile
Start with the countertop selected for your vanity, then confirm the compatible sidesplash. White Quartz, Carrara Quartz, Carrara Marble and Calacatta finishes are different materials or patterns; a similar name or white background does not make them interchangeable.
- Material and color: use the exact countertop finish on your order.
- Profile and height: verify the correct sidesplash range for that vanity and top.
- Size: confirm length, height and thickness before ordering.
- Existing installations: send Willow your order number, countertop name and clear photos so the team can check the match.
Matching material does not promise continuous veining across separate pieces. Pattern placement can vary, and a small sample or screen image cannot show the exact layout of every cut piece. Review the pieces together before installation.

Willow sidesplash dimensions
The following dimensions apply to these Willow sidesplash ranges. They do not mean the same piece fits every vanity or every countertop depth.
Rounded countertops require a different fit. Willow is not currently offering matching sidesplashes for these rounded configurations. Do not substitute a standard sidesplash just because the material or color matches. You can still choose your countertop and plan an alternative wall finish.
Standard sidesplash: 21¼″ × 4″ × ¾″
21¼″ long × 4″ high × ¾″ thick. This is the standard range for the compatible 22″-deep countertop configuration. The sidesplash is shorter than the full countertop depth because the rear backsplash occupies part of that depth. Check the actual fit where the two pieces meet.
Manhattan 125 sidesplash: 21¼″ × 5″ × ¾″
21¼″ long × 5″ high × ¾″ thick. The 125 series is the sidesplash range for all Manhattan vanity models. Select the material that matches your countertop and check availability. The 125 designation identifies this range; the sidesplash height is 5 inches.
Why a matching sidesplash may not be offered
Sidesplash availability is separate from countertop availability. You can choose a countertop even when its matching sidesplash is unavailable. A finish being offered for a vanity does not mean every accessory in that finish is also in stock.
Where matching sidesplash options are offered on the product page, they depend on the selected countertop and available accessory stock. If no matching option appears, contact Willow before substituting another finish. An incoming shipment is not the same as a piece available to add to your current order.
Single needs one available matching piece per vanity. Double needs two. If there are not enough pieces for the quantity you want, ask the team to confirm your options before completing the order.
What if there is no matching sidesplash?
You do not have to change your preferred countertop just because a matching sidesplash is unavailable. Consider the room layout and the finish you want around the vanity:
- Open sides: if the vanity does not meet a side wall, there is usually no reason to add a sidesplash on that side.
- Tile along the side wall: continue your backsplash tile around the corner, or choose a coordinating tile. This gives you a finished splash area without needing stone from the same countertop range.
- Another suitable wall finish: a wall panel or other finish designed for the expected bathroom splash exposure can be an alternative. Have your installer confirm the finish, backing and joint details for your layout.
- A piece made to fit: a local stone fabricator may be able to supply and size a suitable piece. Verify material, color, thickness, height and fit before ordering; a similar color name does not guarantee an exact match. Willow does not promise custom fabrication or an exact match from another supplier.
For a coordinated look, choose the wall treatment as part of the room design rather than substituting an almost-matching white stone without checking it beside the countertop.
What to check before installation
- Inspect first. Check the material, measurements and condition while all pieces are accessible.
- Dry-fit the layout. Place the sidesplash without adhesive and check its relationship to the rear backsplash, front edge, side wall and faucet clearance.
- Check the wall. A wall that is out of square or uneven can affect the joint. Have your installer resolve fit questions before bonding the piece.
- Use the correct installation materials. Follow the countertop and adhesive manufacturer's instructions for the actual stone or quartz and wall surface. Your installer should select compatible adhesive and joint sealant.
- Confirm before modifying. Do not force a piece into place. Discuss any cutting or alteration with Willow and a qualified fabricator first.
A sidesplash helps manage splashes; it does not replace properly sealed joints or the bathroom's required waterproofing. Follow the care instructions for your specific countertop material.
Common sidesplash questions
Do I have to buy a sidesplash?
No. A matching stone sidesplash is optional. A vanity with open space beside it usually does not need one on that side. Where the countertop meets a wall, tile or another suitable wall finish can be used instead. Confirm the wall protection and joint details with your installer.
Can I choose a countertop that has no matching sidesplash?
Yes. Sidesplash availability is separate from countertop selection. Plan a suitable wall finish for your installation, and check the selected vanity's own stock and ordering options. See the alternatives above.
Does Double mean a longer piece?
No. Double means two matching sidesplashes. Each piece keeps the dimensions of the selected standard or Manhattan range.
Can I use a sidesplash from a different white countertop?
Do not assume it will match. White finishes can differ in tone, veining, material and profile. Ask Willow to verify the exact combination.
Can I add a sidesplash to an existing vanity?
Possibly, if a compatible piece is available and fits the installation. Send your order details, countertop name, measurements and photos to Willow for a compatibility check.
Does a 22″-deep countertop need a 22″ sidesplash?
Not necessarily. In the compatible Willow configuration covered here, the sidesplash is 21¼″ long. Confirm the actual space beside the rear backsplash rather than ordering by countertop depth alone.
